Rob Salter


Rob brings a wealth of relevant experience, having worked for over 30 years in the retail and home entertainment businesses, in both the physical and digital sectors.

He joined Woolworths in 1982 as a management trainee and fulfilled a number of operational, marketing and buying roles, before becoming the head of Home Entertainment.

He then moved to sister company Entertainment UK where he was Head of Sales and Marketing, serving Woolworth and a range of 3rd party customers, including Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and WH Smith.

In 2001, following the acquisition of ASDA by Walmart, Rob moved to Handleman UK, first as Commercial Director and then MD, a role he fulfilled for 4 years, running the Home Entertainment Supply Chain for ASDA. In 2005 he relocated to Bentonville Arkansas with Handleman Company US to take up the role of Group Vice President, running the entire global relationship with Walmart.

On his return to the UK in 2007, Rob was interim CEO of Blueprint Digital and then returned to Entertainment UK where he joined the board as Sales and Marketing Director. He joined Tesco in 2008 as Category Director, where he oversaw the acquisition of Handleman UK and it’s transformation into Oakwood Distribution. He was also on the boards of Blinkbox and The Entertainment Retail Association, and the Chairman of the Official Chart Company.overseeing a complete rebrand of the organisation.

Since leaving Tesco in early 2013, Rob has managed a number of projects, working for clients such as Sony DADC and the major movie studios, before cofounding Reverbz Media Ltd in 2014 to address many of the opportunities that exist in the ever evolving home entertainment sector.
